In 1989 Captain Brian Surtees appeared in CAA ads in promoting the Flying Unit as the 'Guardians of the Skies'. These ads appeared in a number of trade and business journals. The example above appreared in the 7 June issue of Australian Business Magazine. Quite what the purpose was of placing such an ad in that publication is unknown.
