Typical of the many country aerodromes owned and operated by DCA, this photo shows the Cloncurry, Qld., passenger terminal and facilities in the early 1960s. The Civil Air Ensign flutters proudly and a sign on the wall of the building at left reads "Cloncurry / Passenger Lounge".

Scheduled air services were, and still are, a vital means of communication throughout the Australian outback.
