Shortly before his death in 1988, Edgar Johnston donated his personal collection of papers to the Civil Aviation Historical Society. This important collection includes letters between Johnston and many Australian aviaiton pioneers, reports of various kinds and other documents.

The Edgar Johnston Archive of Australian Civil Aviation Administration is available to researchers by appointment.
